Five 3-hour exams in 1.5 days - you do the math!

Well ... I just finished my fifth three hour exam since yesterday morning.

(Well, at least I got an hour's break to do admin stuff inbetween!)

Why are you doing exams now?, I hear you say. Well, I reply in a scholarly tone, because the first year subjects at any MBA school are "core" subjects. Kind of like what you do in a commercedegree - financial accounting, management accounting, Excel stuff, statistics, IT - and seeing I've already done these (or at least something similar), I'm trying to get out of doing them again - so I can start doing some cool new subjects (like Financial Accounting 2, and Excel XXXIV: the reckoning) (just kidding ... seriously).

How do you get out of it? Easy! Simply pass the final exam on the first day of term. So that's what I've been doing - while everyone else has been partying, playing, swapping phone numbers (I don't have a phone yet either .... noooo!) I've been locked up in my room trying to cram five semester long subjects into a few days of study.

But the good news is - I'm done! I'll find out over the next week how I go ... how many will I pass? Will the incalculable price to my social status be worth the effort? Hmm, sounds like a statistical dilemma for me ... (sorry, I regress).

And now it's just in time for class to begin - in precisely SEVEN hours. 2 days of a business simulation where we, um, I'm not exactly sure what we're doing. Whatever it is, I'm sure we'll find a way to make it stressful ... =) And have lots of fun (and free coffee) at the same time ...

Blessings
john
