Hey everyone,
Spent the last day in Johannesburg ... it made me realise how much I've missed the big city! Spent an hour walking through an electronics store and looking at roads with streetlights and malls which are clean ... whoa.
Johannesburg is beautiful ... it has fresh air, beautiful weather, nice people.
our taxi driver on the way back fom dinner was telling about his adventures in being hijakced in Johannesburg ... about how you have to fight violence with violence. He told us about how he has chased after people who steal from him (eg zine tiling off his roof, or the car that got stolen from him) to get it back ... and succeeded! It made me feel considerable less safe being in his taxi ...!
But you wouldn't know it from being here. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world (a bit like Sydney)!
